It can be hard to find contentment and joy when we receive so many messages in our day-to-day lives that we’re not smart enough, beautiful enough, or successful enough. If we could just work harder, eat healthier, or be a little less stressed, then maybe –just maybe – we will finally feel okay. There’s always something missing.
What if, deep down, our true nature were already perfect, and it was just a matter of recognizing it?
The Joy of Living training encompasses three progressive levels. Each level will include a series of courses as part of the subscription.
Calming the mind
In the first level, you will discover how awareness meditation can be used to create a peaceful mind and joyful heart.
Opening the Heart
In the second level, you will experience how meditating on love, compassion, joy and equanimity can open our hearts to the world around us.
In the third level you will receive guidance on the practice of insight meditation, a profound form of meditation that uproots the causes of anxiety and suffering.
The estimated length of the complete Joy of Living training is 18 months.
The Joy of Living can be followed by everyone.
You will learn about basic functions of your mind, such as connecting with awareness and moving toward happiness and away from suffering.
You will gradually transform your relationship to the present moment by learning to approach every thought, feeling, and sensory experience with unconditional warmth and acceptance.

We all do our best to manage the challenges of modern life. What if these challenges could help us discover inner calm and emotional balance? In this level, Mingyur Rinpoche will teach us how meditation can transform the way we relate to stressful situations and challenging emotions, and embrace all aspects of life with mindful awareness.
Do you sometimes have difficulty finding the warmth and connection you would like to feel toward yourself and others?
In this level, Mingyur Rinpoche teaches us how to connect with our innate capacity for loving-kindness, compassion, and joyful appreciation. Cultivating loving-kindness and compassion helps us to see the basic goodness shared by all beings.By relating to others open heartedly,we discover a sense of confidence and purpose that allows us to be of genuine help.
Do you sometimes feel stuck in habitual reactions and patterns? Do you find yourself locked in static beliefs about yourself and the world around you?
In this level, Mingyur Rinpoche helps us to awaken to our innate wisdom by investigating how things really are. Using a series of analytical meditations, we deepen our understanding and start to loosen our assumptions about ourselves and the world. This process begins by looking into the root of suffering, then guides us toward recognizing the nature of ourselves and our surroundings, bringing us in touch with timeless awareness.
